Thomas (Tom) Powell, 81, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church, a Veteran of the U. S. Army, and was employed by Coca Cola and Grumman Industries.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Christine Powell; and his sister, Frances Dillon. He is survived by loving wife of 58 years, Ann Powell; one son, Billy Powell (Lisa); three granddaughters, Danielle Powell, Cassie Powell, Lexi Powell; one sister, Sue Williams (Freddie); and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024 at Oakey’s East Chapel with Pastor Joel Wegner officiating. Interment followed Fair View Cemetery. The family received friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the funeral.
