New Freedom Farm will be hosting its first annual “Spring Fling” this Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with no charge for admission. The public is invited to attend.

There will be pony rides, a petting zoo, raffles, children’s activities, vendors, music and Obstacle Trail demonstrations. The event will also include a groundbreaking for the pavilion in honor of Vietnam Veteran Thomas C. Andreasen and a building dedication in honor and support of Steve Goodwin.

The Combat Veterans and Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Association will also be rolling in.

The guest speaker will be World War II veteran Carlos Showalter, and three Nation’s Capital Girl Scout Troops will be on hand along with the Kazim Tramps.

Owner Lois Fritz welcomes visitors to New Freedom Farm at other times, too, by appointment by calling 540-855-1158 or by emailing newfreedom2016@gmail.com. The farm is located at 6118 Lithia Road in Buchanan.
