The Roanoke College baseball team will be at Ferrum College today for a 7 pm non-conference game against the Panthers.

The Maroons are 21-12 overall but just 6-8 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. That’s good for sixth place in the ODAC standings, and the top six among the 11 schools qualify for the conference tournament.

Roanoke was scheduled to play at Emory & Henry on Tuesday, but that game was postponed due to a wet field. On Saturday the Maroons play two at first place Washington & Lee, beginning at 1 pm. The Generals are 12-2 in the conference, so that’s shaping up to be a big day for RC.

Next Wednesday, April 26, the Maroons will host 10th place Lynchburg in a 7 pm game at Kiwanis Field and on Saturday, April 29, Randolph-Macon is here for a 3 pm doubleheader. Randolph-Macon is third in the conference standings coming into the week.

No makeup date was set at press time for the Emory & Henry game. The Wasps are in eighth place in the ODAC but, at 5-9, were just a game behind RC.
