The Roanoke College men’s team took fourth and the women placed sixth in the ODAC Cross Country Championships Saturday in Virginia Beach, VA. Washington & Lee swept both team titles for the third year in a row.
A total of 13 Maroons recorded career-best performances during the championship race. Devyn Heron finished atop the leaderboards with a 13th place finish with a time of 26:04.27. With the top-14 finish, Heron earned all-conference honors.
Howard Daniels took 17th, crossing the finish line in 26:21.01. Nathaniel Willis rounded out the top-25 finishes on the men side in 23rd with a time of 26:40.30.
Alexis Mattson led the women’s team with an 18th place finish in the 6K, clocking a 23:03.62. Ellen Bauer followed with a 20th place finish and a time of 23:18.39.
On November 11th the Maroons head to the NCAA South/Southeast Regional on Nov. 11 at Christopher Newport in Newport News, VA.
