Cross County regional races were scheduled for this week for both Region 4D and Region 2C, but results were too late for publication.

The Group 4A, Region D races were scheduled for Wednesday at Randolph Park in Pulaski. The top three teams in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions will advance to the state championships on November 10.

The Group 2A, Region C races were at Green Hill Park on Wednesday. Again, the top three advance.

The River Ridge did not have a district meet, but the Three Rivers held a meet at Green Hill Park last week. The Glenvar girls finished third and the boys were fourth as the James River boys and Floyd County girls took team titles.

Rachel Millirons led the Glenvar girls with a time of 20:38 to finish fourth overall. Chloe Phillips of Floyd won the race with a time of 19:35.

Also scoring for Glenvar were Becky Linkous in seventh, Kailee Sesler in 14th, Madison Osburn in 23rd and Isabelle Pope in 26th place. There were 43 girls in the race.

In the boys’ meet Will Miller of James River won by over a minute with a time of 15:39. Dustin Wade led the Highlanders at 17:36 for seventh place. Also scoring for the Highlanders were Bryant Loftis in 22nd, Adren Jacobs in 24th, Peyton Fletcher in 26th and Brendan Killeen in 28th. There were 56 runners in the boys race.

Carly Wilkes of Glenvar won the middle school 3K race with a time of 10:44.5. That was a minute and seven seconds faster than the second place girl from Carroll County, Amie Delp.
