The Roanoke College men’s volleyball team has set a new record for wins in a season in their third year as a program. The Maroons improved to 20-9 with 3-0 wins over Averett University and Carolina University in Salem last Saturday.
Against Averett Connor Tyson topped the team in kills with 12 while Gabe Fabbro led in assists with 10. Kaeden Noble had 10 digs in the match to lead the Maroons.
In the win over Carolina Colin Mendoza, Connor Tyson, Michael Cummins, and Cade Kinne all had six kills. Teagan Cole and Leo Houser each had 12 assists.
The Maroons were scheduled to host the University of Lynchburg and Southern Virginia in a tri-match on Wednesday of this week. On Friday Virginia Wesleyan is here for a 6 pm match, and that will be held in the C. Homer Bast Center.
