The Roanoke College wrestling team swept the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Athlete of the Week awards for the week of December 22. Taylor Smith earned Lighter Weight Wrestler of the Week accolades while Hunter Moore took home Heavier Weight Wrestler of the Week honors.

Smith, a junior from Mifflintown, Pa., went 4-1 on the way to a second-place finish at 149 pounds at the 92nd Wilkes Open Championship . In the semi-finals, he registered a 4-1 decision by sudden victory over teammate Jackson Rowling. In the final, Smith dropped a 6-0 decision to Easton Broxterman from the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School.

Smith is currently ranked fifth in Division III and first in Region 4 at 149 pounds.
