The Glenvar tennis players were hoping to get in some matches after Region 2C tournaments were washed out on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
The Glenvar boys ended the regular season with a 6-3 loss to Radford last week. The Highlanders were scheduled to play George Wythe on Wednesday in the Region 2C quarterfinal.
“We lost to Radford in a very close match that went down to the end,” said coach Bob Haynie. “We’ve closed the gap since the last time we played them and look forward to playing them again if we can win against George Wythe.”
Alec McIlwain will represent Glenvar in the singles tournament and team with Connor Wilkes in doubles.
The girls ended the regular season with a 9-0 loss to Floyd. They’re scheduled to play Appomattox to open the region.
