The Roanoke College baseball team will take on Washington & Lee in a big ODAC doubleheader in Lexington Saturday. The first game will start at noon.

The Maroons were 13-11-1 coming into the week pending two games in North Carolina. They were scheduled to play Greensboro College on Tuesday and Guilford College on Wednesday, both in Greensboro.

Last Saturday in Pulaski the Maroons split a doubleheader with the University of Lynchburg. The games were played at Calfee Park in Pulaski as work was being done at Salem Memorial Ballpark for the Salem Red Sox season, which begins at home this Friday.

Roanoke won the first game against the Hornets, 8-7. Isaac Brooks picked up his fourth win of the year after working the eighth and ninth innings. Brooks didn’t allow a run or a hit and struck out one. Kyle Moshier led RC with three hits and three RBIs, including what would be the game winning RBI as the Maroons came from 6-0 behind for the win.

Lynchburg took the second game, 11-1. Danny Ferguson, Parker Stallard, Hayden Giordano, Nate Prince and Corey Coogan combined for the Maroons’ hit total in the contest.
