The National Association of Basketball Coaches has announced the recipients of the 2021-22 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court and Roanoke College is included. The organization recognizes outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men’s basketball teams and student-athletes.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men’s basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student players who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Roanoke College men’s basketball team was honored by the organization once again this season, receiving the same honor one year ago. In addition to the Team Academic Excellence Award, a trio of Maroons were named to the NABC Honors Court. Juniors Colin Burns (Business Administration), Jim Coulter (Economics), and Kasey Draper (Business Administration) were three of the over 2,000 players from all divisions to be honored.
