The last race of the regular season for the Roanoke College cycling team was last weekend at the University of Virginia. The Maroons took podium spots in three of the categories.
Aunika Kemp took the Conference Championship in the women’s Collegiate A. Jensen Cervati had a breakthrough season, finishing second overall in the conference in his first season with the Collegiate A men. Also, Hays Edmunds rounded out the Collegiate B men’s podium with a third place overall.
“The team has grown so much in just one year,” said head coach Shelly Olds. “We have become a force in our conference and a team respected by our competitors.
Next up is a road trip to Madison, Wisconsin for the Collegiate National Road Race Championships.
