The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors selected new leadership during its organizational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, naming Tammy E. Shepherd as chair for 2026.

Shepherd, who represents the Vinton District, has served on the board since 2024. This is her first year serving as board chair.

The board also selected David F. Radford, Windsor Hills District representative, as vice chair for 2026. Radford has served on the board since 2018. He previously served as board chair in 2020 and 2025 and as vice chair in 2021.

Regular board meetings will be held at 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Public hearings are scheduled for 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month unless otherwise advertised.

Meeting agendas are available on the county’s website. Board meetings are streamed live on the Roanoke County website and can also be viewed live on RVTV-3.
