Roanoke County Public Safety Center Fall Open House

On Saturday, October 14, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Roanoke County’s Police Department, Fire and Rescue Department and Emergency Communications Center held a Fall Open House at its Public Safety Center, located at  5925 Cove Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24019.

The event included:

  • Guided tours of the building to include the dispatch center
  • Vehicle displays to include police cars, fire trucks and ambulances, the S.W.A.T. vehicle
  • K9 demonstrations
  • Bike patrol
  • DUI Golf Cart simulator
  • Static displays from the Roanoke County Emergency Communications Center, Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Department, Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office and the Roanoke County Police Department

 

Crime prevention and fire prevention materials were made available to the public. Food and drinks were also provided. The event was free and open to the public.
