Roanoke College will host a Randolph College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse game Saturday in conjunction with Alumni Weekend. The first face-off is scheduled for noon at Kerr Stadium in Salem.
The Maroons are 4-2 in ODAC games after defeating Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach, 16-9, last Saturday. The win lifted RC to 8-3 overall pending a Wednesday game against Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.
Last Saturday’s game with VWU was tied at 5-5 at the half and 8-8 near the end of the third quarter before the Maroon offense took charge. Roanoke outscored the Marlins 8-1 in the final 18 minutes of play to win going away.
Julian Kammerman led the team with a four-goal effort and one assist and Patrick Cullen had three goals. Owen Ameo and Clayton Bewick each scored twice for the Maroons while David Hamilton picked up 11 saves as the winning goalie.
