Frank Lang of Vinton, VA, was the overall winner of the Roanoke Valley Senior Golf Tour tournament on June 27 that took place at Hanging Rock Golf Club in Salem, VA. Playing in Division 2, (handicaps 15 to 21), Lang recorded a net score of 61.
Other Division 2 winners were: second, Don Hampton – 63; third, Larry Wirt – 64; fourth, Roger Hodges – 65; fifth, Bob Poff – 65.
In Division 1 (handicaps 0 to 14), Ken Kornegay Southwest Roanoke carded a net score of 63 for First Place. Other Division 1 winners were: second, Fred Duncan – 64; third, Robert Stanley – 65; fourth, Carl Rydell – 65; fifth, Guido Edillon – 65.
Playing in Division 3, (handicaps over 21), Dennis Young of Southwest Roanoke finished in First Place with a net score of 61. Other Division 3 winners were: second, Tommy Firebaugh – 63; third, Bart Truesdale – 64; fourth, Jerry McBride – 65; fifth, Dale Blake – 65. The Low Gross score of 74 went to Woody Deans of Southwest Roanoke.
