The annual “Salem After Five” concert series is all set for an exciting 2019 season that includes new bands, some all-time favorites, a variety of food options and plenty of community fun in the heart of Downtown Salem.
The 2019 lineup of shows begins Friday, April 26, with crowd favorite “Domino” and concludes on August 9 with the incredibly versatile “The Kings” performing on the Salem Farmers Market stage. This year’s summer lineup also includes “Maggie Baugh”, “Cimarron” and the beach music of the “Blackwater Band”. Gates open at 5 p.m., the music starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds from the concerts will benefit several worthwhile charities throughout Virginia’s Blue Ridge region.
The Salem Farmers Market is located on the corner of Main and Broad streets and “Salem After Five” is presented by the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Q99. Pinnacle Financial Partners, Pepsi and Budweiser are once again sponsoring the concerts this year.
Admission: Adults $5, children 12 and under are free. There will be a children’s play area set up in the Market, as well as food vendors featuring The Kettle Cooker Express, Salem Ice Cream Parlor and a different area Food Truck each month.
