The City of Salem Animal Shelter has announced the promotion of Kate Nichols to shelter manager.
Nichols has been a member of the shelter’s team since 2015. During that time, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to animal welfare and service to the Salem community, according to a release.
Shelter officials said Nichols’ experience and dedication make her well-suited for the leadership role, citing her passion for the animals in the shelter’s care and her ongoing efforts to support and advance its mission.
City officials expressed enthusiasm about Nichols stepping into the position and said they look forward to her continued contributions as shelter manager.
