Salem’s girls defeated Christiansburg last Friday at home despite missing number one player Claire Rawlins. Singles winners for Salem were Josephine Eaton, Elisa Nguyen, Christine Burr and Diya Patel for a 4-2 lead. Salem then swept the doubles for a 7-2 win.
Christiansburg does not have a boys team so Salem’s boys did not play Friday.
Both teams were scheduled to play Patrick Henry on Tuesday followed the LB matches today. On Friday a busy week continues with the girls at Pulaski and the boys hosting the Cougars in Salem.
