The Salem High girls soccer team is 7-7-2 after battling Patrick Henry to a draw in a River Ridge District game Tuesday. The final score at Merrill Gainer Stadium in Roanoke was 2-2 as Rosie Horne and Keely Prosser scored for the Spartans.
Last Thursday at home the girls shut out Christiansburg, 4-0. Laikyn Funk and Horne scored two goals each to pace the Spartans and Funk also had two assists. Emma Elder and Aly Price also had assists for Salem.
The girls will be back on the pitch Friday with a game against Pulaski County in Dublin. That will be the last game of the regular season for the Spartans.
