The city of Salem will be the host site for Class 1 and 2 Virginia High School League spring sports championships this week. State semifinals will be held on Friday with finals on Saturday for baseball, softball and both boys’ and girls’ soccer.
For baseball, semifinal games will be at 10 am and 1 pm at both Billy Sample Field and Salem Memorial Ballpark on Friday. On Saturday both the Class 1 and 2 championship games will be at Salem Memorial at 10 am and 1 pm.
All the softball games will be at the James I. Moyer Complex, with 10 am and 1 pm semifinals on Friday and championship games on Saturday at 10 am and 1 pm.
Soccer games will be held at Salem High School and Kerr Stadium on the campus of Roanoke College. Class 1 games will be at 10 am and 1 pm Friday with the championship on Saturday, and likewise the Class 2 semifinals are Friday at Salem High with the championship game on Saturday.
Times are subject to change depending on which teams are included in the tournaments, as there could be conflicts with graduation or other school functions.
