Salem outfielder Robinson named second team Class 4 all-state

The Virginia High School League announced its 2024 Class 4 all-state softball team this week and state champion Woodgrove dominated the team. Woodgrove senior pitcher Abbey Lane is the Class 4 Player of the Year, head coach Joe Spicer is the Class 4 Coach of the Year and the Wolverines had four girls on the first team.

Salem High junior Cora Robinson was named to the state All-Class 4 second team as an outfielder. Cora had previously been named to the All-Region 4D first team in the outfield and catcher Caitlin Wells was deemed Honorable Mention in the region. In the River Ridge District Robinson was named to the first team and Wells was named to the second team. Christiansburg pitcher Kadyn Camper is the RRD Player of the Year and Seann Gaynor of the Blue Demons is Coach of the Year.
