Salem detectives charged 28-year-old Bradey Draper of Vinton with five counts of Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, three counts of Grand Larceny, three counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny, Accessory to Theft and Petit Larceny.
Carly Curtis, 22, of Roanoke was charged with two counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny, Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine and Accessory to Grand Larceny
The third person involved in the crimes is 33-year-old Jerrad Edwards of Roanoke. He was charged with three counts of Conspiring to Commit Grand Larceny, five counts of Unlawful Entry of a Vehicle and accessory to Theft.
On Friday, Aug. 18, in the early morning hours, officers responded to reports of two automobiles and a motorcycle being stolen, as well as multiple vehicles that were unlawfully entered. During the investigation, officers and detectives were able to locate the suspects and recovery the stolen property. The suspects were positively identified as the individuals who committed the crimes. There were no weapons involved in the crime and no injuries resulted from the incident.
All three individuals were arrested and transported to the Roanoke County-Salem Jail. Additional suspects have been identified and charges are pending. This incident remains under investigation and anyone with more information is asked to contact the Salem Police Department at 540-375-3083.
