The Salem Department of Parks and Recreation had a great turnout for the annual youth soccer camp at Spartan Field last week. Despite some hot weather over 100 boys and girls participated in the camp, conducted by SHS girls’ coach Kayla Wood and Spartan boys’ coach David Atkins along with assistants and members of the Salem High teams. Below, the kids gather for a group shot on the hot pitch and, they learn skills of the game.
