Salem Restaurants to Take Part in First-Ever Virginia’s Blue Ridge Restaurant Week

Seven Salem restaurants will join more than 70 establishments across the region for the first Virginia’s Blue Ridge Restaurant Week, taking place May 31 through June 8.

VBR Restaurant Week is a celebration of local flavors, offering participants a unique opportunity to enjoy special menus, discounts and promotions at participating restaurants. From fine dining to casual eats, the event will highlight the diverse range of culinary offerings in the region while also supporting local businesses and the community.

Participating Salem restaurants include:

  • Brood
  • Famous Anthony’s
  • Frank’s Pizza
  • Frankie Rowland’s Steakhouse
  • Gusto’s Pizza
  • Mac and Bob’s Restaurant
  • Our Daily Bread and Bistro

Brood Restaurant and Bar will offer a two-course meal featuring a choice of Caesar salad, arugula salad or butternut squash soup, followed by an entrée selection of chicken schnitzel, everything-spiced salmon or shrimp and grits. The meal includes a soda or tea.

Famous Anthony’s will offer a $10 lunch menu available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Options include: Bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink, mushroom Swiss burger with fries and a drink, taco salad with a drink and lunch sandwich combo with a choice of soup or salad and a drink.

Dinner options, served from 4 to 9 p.m., include: Angus steakhouse meal with baked potato or fries, garlic bread, tossed salad and a drink for $20 and combo featuring two select entrées for $20, each served with baked potato or fries and garlic bread.

Mac and Bob’s Restaurant will feature a $15 lunch menu offering any sandwich or burger, a side, and a soft drink for $13.99. Side options include steak fries, house salad, Caesar salad, cup of soup or cup of fresh fruit.

Restaurant Week offers three price tiers for lunch ($10, $15 or $20) and dinner ($20, $30 or $50), giving diners a chance to explore new spots or revisit favorites at an affordable cost.
