Several Salem students recently received academic honors from their universities.

East Tennessee State University announced that Avery Lewin, Corrine Neff and Peyton Wingo were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2026 semester.

To qualify for the dean’s list, undergraduate students must complete at least 12 credit hours, excluding audits, incompletes, repeats and pass/fail courses, earn no grade below a B- in any course and achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

In addition, Cara Butler of Salem graduated from Shenandoah University during the 2025-26 academic year.

Butler earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and was among 1,180 students who received degrees or certificates during the academic year, which included August 2025, December 2025 and May 2026 graduates.

Shenandoah University’s 2026 commencement ceremony was held May 9 at the James R. Wilkins Jr. Athletics and Events Center in Winchester.
