Salem’s “Jazz in July” celebrates 20 Years this Saturday

Jazz In July, Salem’s popular mid-summer music event, returns to the Longwood Park Amphitheater this Saturday, July 15, from 4:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. This year marks the 20th year for the concerts and the talented musical lineup for this Saturday includes Salem’s own Jane Powell.

4:30 p.m. Vosbein-Magee Big Band

5:50 p.m. Jane Powell with Lenny Marcus & Friends

7:10 p.m. Robert Jospe and The Express Quartet

8:30 p.m. Florida’s “Ari and The Alibis”

Admission to the event is free and jazz fans are encouraged to bring lounge chairs and blankets and pack a picnic. The Kettle Cooker Express will be on site for those wishing to purchase snacks at the venue. Beer and wine will be sold by Salem Catering, however, outside alcohol is not allowed. Water and soft drinks also will be available for purchase.

Jazz is July is sponsored by the Salem Parks & Recreation Department, Bath Fitter and Pepsi. No pets are allowed on the premises at this event. For additional information, call the Salem Parks and Recreation Department at 375-3057.
