Bogle Field, behind Cave Spring Middle School, will be the site for opening round games of the Tri-Counties Sandlot Super Bowl Playoffs this Saturday. The event will include sandlot football teams in three divisions from Salem, Roanoke County, Botetourt County and Franklin County.
This Saturday at 9 a.m. the 8U tournament opens with Salem-Kesler against North Roanoke. Three 10U games follow beginning with Vinton against Franklin County at 10:15 a.m. Salem-Abbott and Glenvar-Fridley teams will play at 11:30 a.m. and Botetourt will take on the other Franklin County team at 12:45 p.m.
The tournament continues on Oct. 17 with 8U games at Bogle Field, 10U games at Franklin County and 12U games at Northside. Semifinals are Oct. 24 and the three Sandlot Super Bowl championship games will be at Salem Stadium on Nov. 7.
