The Salem High boys will be in Christiansburg tonight for a River Ridge District basketball game after falling to Patrick Henry in Roanoke on Tuesday, 72-55.
The Spartans are 1-2 after Tuesday’s loss, having two games postponed last week due to COVID against Staunton River and Liberty. The Staunton River game will be made up on January 12 in Moneta but no makeup game has been set for Liberty.
The Spartans will make up for lost time with a busy week ahead. After tonight’s game at Christiansburg Salem will be at Lord Botetourt High on Saturday to participate in the “Bob Johnson Classic.” The Spartans will take on Fluvanna County High at 3:30 pm, and you can read more about that event on page 10 in this week’s sport section.
Next week Salem will be back to the River Ridge District schedule with a home game against Hidden Valley on Tuesday, followed by a trip to Northside on Wednesday, December 22nd. The Spartans are then off until after Christmas, returning to the court on December 30 to host Staunton River.
