The Salem High track team participated in the Joe Curcio Invitational at Liberty University last Saturday. The meet was called just over halfway to completion due to inclement weather but Salem managed to get in some good performances before the bad weather hit.

Three girls earned medals in their events. Mia Cromer took third in the high jump, ShaCoya Price was third in the long jump and Hannah Moran took a third in the 1,600 meter run. For the boys, Sean Tyree was second in the 400 dash with a time of 53.00.

Salem had a home meet with Bassett and Glenvar on Wednesday, and on Saturday the Spartans will participate in the Blacksburg Invitational.
