Tickets for the Salem Museum’s annual Ghost Walk are selling quickly, with several tours already booked ahead of the Oct. 2-4 event.

From 6 to 8 p.m. each evening, guests will tour historic East Hill Cemetery and meet costumed interpreters portraying notable figures from Salem’s past. Organizers describe the walking tours as family-friendly, fun and informative — but not scary.

“Ghosts” will share stories spanning more than 200 years of local history, from influential leaders to everyday citizens whose experiences shaped the community. The tour also highlights historic Salem landmarks, offering fresh insight into places visitors may see every day.

Tours depart from the Salem Museum every 15 minutes. An American Sign Language interpreter will be available on the 6 p.m. tour each night.

Tickets cost $12 for adults, $8 for students and are free for children age 3 and younger. They can be purchased at the museum or online at SalemMuseum.org. Advance purchase is recommended to secure a preferred tour time, and groups must register in advance.

The walk covers just over half a mile and includes gentle inclines. Comfortable shoes and a flashlight are encouraged. If it rains, tours will be moved inside the museum.

Proceeds benefit the Salem Museum and its educational programs.
