Anyone remember the song “It takes Two” by Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston? Well, last week it indeed took two.
T.J. Beason Myers missed just two games and she’s the winner of last week’s contest. She was the only one to miss just two, so the tie-breaker wasn’t even needed.
There were a whole lot of folks who missed three, mostly picking Utah, Clemson and the Cowboys in the second column. T.J. picked Clemson and Dallas but had Texas Tech over Utah and that proved to be the difference along with sweeping the left hand side of the bracket. For her fine forecasting she gets the $50 gift certificate from Mac & Bob’s.
For last week’s 19th Hole I asked you to pick the score of the Glenvar-Northside game. Almost everyone had the Vikings scoring more than the seven they actually did, and the closest to the actual score was Pam “The Little General” Cassell who had Northside with seven and Glenvar with 41. That was 13 off the actual score of 28-7 but close enough to win a free day of golf.
It was unusual, but not unexpected, to see almost no one picking Salem last week. The Spartans played at powerhouse and undefeated Dinwiddie and Salem is a little banged up these days. This week the Spartans are hosting Blacksburg for Homecoming and that’s our game for the “19th Hole” this week.
