Now through Saturday, July 28, the public is invited to visit the Salem Museum and vote for their favorite art piece in the Museum’s new show.
The Celebrate Salem Art Show welcomed works from artists from any locality, but each piece of art had to depict a Salem person, place or thing. Visitors may vote once a day.
Works are on display by Morgan Becker, Marialena Tina Collica, Patsy Horne Conner, Esther Davis, Kathy Highsmith, Bill Hill, Mary Lou Hill, Kyra Hinton, Deana B. Marion, Margaret McClung, Rosanne A. Moon, Patricia Placona, Tina Powers, Frankie Robbins, Edwin Tippie and Genevieve Witt.
“We were really pleased with the wonderful art that was submitted for our show,” said Alex Burke, the museum’s assistant director. “These are talented, creative artists, working in everything from oils, watercolor, and acrylics to photography, ink and pencil drawings.”
The Art Show runs through September 6. Bill and Ellen Arnold generously sponsor the Art Show and prizes. Admission to the Celebrate Salem Art Show is free, but donations are appreciated.
