The Glenvar Middle School football team is 6-1 after defeating Radford Middle at Highlander Stadium last week. Glenvar took a 17-8 win in a hard-fought game.
Kendrix Thompson scored both touchdowns for the Highlanders, while the Glenvar defense delivered a strong performance to help secure the victory.
“The Highlanders battled hard from start to finish, making it an exciting and well-earned win,” said coach Raysean Priest.
Glenvar was scheduled to host Northside’s B team on Monday of this week but that was cancelled due to a thunderstorm. The Highlanders will be back in action next Monday, Sept. 28, at Shawsville.
