The Roanoke College football team will put its undefeated record on the line Saturday when it plays Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field.
The Bison come into the game at 0-3 and have given up 44 points or more in all three losses. They opened in Reading, Pa. with a 44-7 loss to Albright College, then dropped a 49-28 decision to Anderson in Indiana.

This season the Bison begin their first year as an affiliate member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). Gallaudet, which competed in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) last season, will participate in the SCAC Football Championship Weekend on Nov. 14 in Little Rock, Ark. The Maroons defeated Gallaudet last season, 38-14, for their first-ever ODAC win when the Bison were competing in the conference.
The Maroons come into Saturday’s game at 2-0 on the season with wins over Virginia University of Lynchburg and Greensboro College. Roanoke’s ODAC opener is Saturday, October 3, at Guilford College and the next home game is Saturday, October 10, when Hampden-Sydney College comes to Salem Stadium for a 4 p.m. start.
