The Glenvar girls are still looking for a win as 2025 comes to a close, with a New Year’s resolution to turn things around in 2026.

The Highlanders were winless in both the 2024 and 2025 calendar years as their losing streak reached 47 with their final game of the year, a 71-20 loss to William Byrd in Vinton. Audrey Moles had 16 points to lead Glenvar.

The Highlanders have yet to win a game this season but they’ve been more competitive. Their next chance to end the streak will be January 5th at Hidden Valley, followed by a home game against Carroll County a day later on January 6th.

“We’re hoping to get some good work in over break and come back refreshed,” said Glenvar coach Cheryl Hayes.
