Lexington, VA will be the site of a big Old Dominion Athletic Conference lacrosse game between Roanoke College and host Washington & Lee this week. The game is scheduled for 7 pm Wednesday evening as the Maroons begin a stretch of five straight ODAC games.
The Maroons are 5-1 overall after defeating Illinois Wesleyan in Salem last Saturday. A strong defensive effort and a six-goal performance from Patrick Cullen propelled RC to an 18-8 win at Kerr Stadium.
The Maroons held the visiting Titans to just two goals in the first half. In the third Roanoke ballooned their lead to 16-4 and won going away. In addition to Cullen’s big day Tyler Schmelzer and Noah Bell each contributed three goals and Schmelzer also added two assists. David Hamilton made nine saves in goal for the Maroons.
Roanoke is back on the road this Saturday for another big ODAC game. They’ll play the Tigers at Hampden-Sydney at 1 pm.
