The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between May 16-22. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

May 16 – Kateisha Latrae Finney, 25, contempt of court; Kenneth Todd Lavender, 47, public intoxication; Zachary Ryan Hartwell, 19, failure to appear; Amanda Jean Glass, 27, probation violation
May 17 – James Russell Howell, 68, public intoxication; Jeffery Scott Barfield, 41, two charges of credit card theft, two charges of credit card fraud
May 18 – Debra Fay All, 37, grand larceny
May 19 – Jonathan Barrett Payne-Wimbish II, 26, failure to appear; Megan Dawn Donigan, assault and battery; Mark Allen Dixon, 47, possession of marijuana
May 20 – Joshua Nathan Wheeling, 29, domestic assault and battery; Michael Wayne Reese, 36, public intoxication
May 21 – William Thomas Branch, 34, public intoxication; Matthew Gerald Caveness, 43, property damage, public intoxication, interfering with the property rights of another; Joseph Aaron Baldwin, 3 charges of possession of a controlled substance; Ralph Fred Claussen, 62, domestic assault and battery; Dashay Lashawn Levesy, 27, embezzlement
May 22 – Robert Timothy Mills, 43, domestic assault and battery; Audrey Sierra James, 33, forgery, obtaining goods by false pretense; John Curtis Watson, 36, domestic assault and battery; Holden Stewart Parker, 30, probation violation; Stevenson Michael Dennis, 28, public intoxication, possession of marijuana, domestic assault and battery; Chad Eric Slough, 45, driving under the influence, unreasonable refusal; Ashley Victoria Dennis, 35, public intoxication; Marco Nucum Canlas, 36, contempt of court

May 20 – Domestic assault, 1600 block of Lynchburg Turnpike
May 22 – Grand larceny, property damage, 1900 block of Electric Road
