This will be a big week for Roanoke College sports as the Maroons soon head into Christmas break. Both the men and women had basketball games Wednesday, with the men hosting Bridgewater and the women at Ferrum.
On Saturday the men, who came into the week at 3-1, will play an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game at Randolph College in Lynchburg at 4:30 pm. Also that day the RC wrestling team will compete in the Blue Jay Invitational at Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA and the Roanoke College swim team has a meet at the Salem YMCA.
Next Wednesday, December 7, you won’t be surprised to learn RC has two basketball games. The women are home to host Averett at 7 pm and the men have a big game at Washington & Lee. A night later, on December 8, the wrestling team will host Shenandoah and next weekend, December 9 & 10, the Roanoke track team will host the Cregger Invitational at the Kerr-Cregger Indoor track in Salem.
