Dan Brugh’s one up to win the final contest

With last Sunday’s Super Bowl game our 2022- 23 football contest officially comes to an end. It’s been a great season with many exciting games, even though high school, college and pro seasons didn’t end with results some of us were hoping for. One person who ended the season a winner is Salem’s Dan Brugh, who also happens to be a sponsor of our contest with his Real Estate Group. Dan closed a deal Sunday when he finished with just three losses in our final contest. That tied several others but Dan won on the tie-breaker, and having the Eagles and Kansas City in the Super Bowl didn’t hurt.

For his efforts Dan will receive a $50 gift certificate to Mac & Bob’s Restaurant in Salem, a gift certificate to Dairy Queen and a year’s subscription to the Times-Register so he can enter the contest again next fall. For our 19th hole question I asked you to pick the final score of the Super Bowl.

Many of you had the final contestants correct and about half of those had the Chiefs winning. However, the closest to the actual score of 38-35 was Salem’s Cammi Beason, who picked the Chiefs to win 34-31. Cammi will get a free round of golf at the Salem Municipal Course on Academy Street, and the weather is starting to get nicer. Thanks to all for playing our contest and please support our sponsors so they’ll be happy to support our contest once again next year.
