NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING

FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING THE NUMBER OF PUBLIC VEHICLES, TAXICABS, AND FOR HIRE CARS FOR WHICH CERTIFICATES

OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY SHALL BE ISSUED DURING THE NEXT YEAR AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING TO WHICH PERSON OR PERSONS

SUCH CERTIFICATES SHALL BE ISSUED.

IN THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALEM,VIRGINIA:

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 98-94 of The Code of the City of Salem, Virginia, the Council of the City of Salem hereby gives notice that at the regular meeting of said Council

to be held on March 13, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., in Council Chambers of the City Hall, 114 North

Broad Street, Salem, Virginia, a public hearing will be held for the purpose of determining the number of public vehicles, taxicabs, and for hire cars for which certificates of public

convenience and necessity shall be issued during the next year and for the purpose of determining to which person or persons such certificates shall be issued. At said hearing, parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard,

present evidence, and show cause why such certificates should or should not be granted. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SALEM,
