The Roanoke College Cregger Center in Salem was the site for the NCAA Division III women’s basketball final four last week. In Thursday’s semifinals Denison University defeated Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and in the other semi the University of Scranton downed NYU in a battle of unbeatens, ending NYU’s 91 game winning streak. The championship game was Saturday and Denison gave Scranton their first loss of the season with a 55-41 victory to claim the school’s first women’s basketball championship.
