Local kids comb the grass for eggs

An Easter egg hunt took place on the grounds of Fort Lewis Elementary School on Saturday, April 16. The event was free to the public and brought in both kids and adults. Children from pre-K up to fifth grade received lunch for free. Salem’s theBridge group, a ministry also local to Christiansburg, hosted the event. There was also, in the spirit of the Easter holiday, a give-away for sweets and other prizes. An Easter rabbit walked around and took photos with the younger attendees, and other kids’ games were played in addition to the egg hunt. The kid-friendly event successfully attracted a large crowd and brought smiles to both young and old.
