GHS tennis boys are top seed

The Glenvar boys tennis team finished 10-1-1 and earned the number one seed in the for the Conference 38 team tennis tournament at Martinsville High School. Semifinals and finals were both scheduled for Wednesday.

The singles and doubles tournaments for the boys are the following Tuesday and Wednesday, May 23rd and 24th, also at Martinsville.  Adonis Rose will be playing in the singles tournament, and Adonis and Freddy Eichelman in doubles.

“I am proud of the guys for all of their hard work during the regular season, and hope it will pay dividends for us in the next two weeks,” said coach Mark Rohrback. “ We will see, it’s a strong conference and we will have to play very well to come out on top.”

The girls opened Conference 38 with Giles and lost 5-1. Emily Yando won Glenvar’s point at number three singles.

The also play singles and doubles next week.
