The Glenvar girls’ soccer team winning streak is at 10 games after the Highlanders shut out two more opponents in the past week. The Highlanders won at Northside last Friday, 6-0, then beat the Bobcats in Radford Tuesday, 5-0.
Glenvar is now 11-2 after starting the season 1-2. The Highlanders have allowed just three goals in their 10 game winning streak with eight shutouts.
Last Friday at Northside the defending Class 2 champions beat a Class 3 team as Cam Stevens had a three-goal hat trick and an assist. Davin Tate, Annie George and Ryan Jones also scored, with Jones getting her first high school varsity goal.
On Tuesday in Radford Tate had two goals and two assists, Stevens had two goals and one assist and Adalee Harvey had a goal. Jones contributed an assist.
The Highlanders are at Carroll County Friday.
