The Glenvar boys soccer team remained undefeated with two more shutout wins in the past week. The Highlanders downed Glenvar at home last Thursday, 8-0, and beat Patrick County in Stuart Tuesday, 10-0.

James River didn’t have a shot on goal in last week’s game, as the Highlanders outshot the Knights 35-0. Kian Fisher had three goals and Adam Saunders, Griffin Geddes and Kees Van Gerven also scored for the Highlanders. Grayson Shepherd and Tyler Shannon had an easy night splitting time in the goal.

On Tuesday Fisher had two more goals and eight other Highlanders had one score each in the win over Patrick. Glenvar dominated again, outshooting the Cougars 34-2 in the game.

With the win the Highlanders are now 10-0 on the season and they’ve allowed just one score all year. They’re back in action tonight at Carroll County.

“We have several district games ahead of us, hopefully we can focus on one at a time and try our best to be successful,” said coach Josh Jones.
