
Glenvar’s eight goals in Monday’s home win over Carroll County.
The Glenvar girls put eight goals on the board in a shutout win over Carroll County Tuesday. Glenvar won the Three Rivers District match 8-0 at Highlander Stadium.
Annie George led the charge for Glenvar with three goals. Cam Stevens had two and Davin Tate scored one and assisted on four others. Lauren Claud, Avery Steger and Sawyer Wilson scored once each and Maddie Frackelton had a slow night in the cage in posting the shutout.
With the win Glenvar is now 3-2 on the season. The Highlanders split two games last week, falling 3-0 at Franklin County but bouncing back for a 6-0 win at Patrick County on Friday. Stevens and Genna Shanks had two goals each for Glenvar in the win over the Cougars in Stuart.
The Highlanders will be back in action next Monday when they host Radford, and next Wednesday they play at Auburn.
