The Glenvar High baseball and softball teams were rained out of games with Giles Tuesday, as inclement weather continues to play havoc with the high school schedules. Both games were rescheduled for Wednesday, with the baseball at Giles and the boys at home.

The boys played at Martinsville Monday and had no trouble with the Bulldogs in a Conference 38 game. Cody Alexander and Logan Lucas combined for a slaughter-rule shortened no-hitter as Glenvar won 19-0.

The Highlanders had 17 hits in the game, including four by Lucas and three by R.J. Rorrer. Matthew Pulliam had a two-run homer for the Highlanders, who were 17-for-28 at the plate with 10 walks. They had four doubles and two triples as they improved to 8-5 on the season.

The girls were also 8-5 heading into Wednesday’s game. They hadn’t played since losing at James River on May 2.
