It was a beautiful day for Homecoming at Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium Saturday and
the Hokies made it memorable by thrashing the University of North Carolina, 59-7.
Above, players from the ’90s were recognized during a break in the action and Salem
fans might recognize a few. Second from the left is Salem’s Shaine Miles and third
from the right is Glenvar graduate Brandon Semones. Both played on the team and
lettered from 1993 to 1996.

Fox follows his blockers on a day when he led the Hokies in rushing with 58 yards on seven carries, and he also had a reception for 20 yards.

Salem’s Zach Hoyt, a redshirt freshman, took over at center for Tech in the fourth quarter.

Salem’s Coleman Fox(#16) and former Spartan lineman Matt Kolb, now a member of the Corps of Cadets at Tech, have made it a tradition of greeting each other after the Hokies run out of the tunnel to “Enter Sandman” at the beginning of each game.
