Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty will bring his “The Legacy Tour” to the Salem Civic Center on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
The legendary singer, songwriter and guitarist is best known as the founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of the most influential bands in rock history. Fogerty wrote, sang and produced many of the group’s enduring hits, including “Born on the Bayou,” “Green River,” “Proud Mary” and “Bad Moon Rising.”
Rolling Stone magazine has recognized Fogerty as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, Songwriters and Singers. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and has also won a Grammy Award.
In January 2023, Fogerty regained the rights to his Creedence Clearwater Revival music catalog and is now performing those songs live with his two sons for the first time.
Although the Salem Civic Center has hosted a long list of music icons over the past 58 years, this marks Fogerty’s first appearance at the venue.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27. Prices range from $53.50 to $149.50, with preferred parking available for $10. Tickets can be purchased at the Salem Civic Center Box Office, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or online through Ticketmaster.
