The Andrew Lewis Middle School football team improved to 8-0 on the season with a 40-0 victory over Cave Spring Middle School in Salem last week.

Touchdowns were scored by Steven Penn, Cam Leftwich and Owyn Dawyot while the special teams play was outstanding with the kickoff team recovering three kickoffs. The defense recorded their third shutout on the season.

Lewis will play at Northside Middle today. The 8th grade football game scheduled for Thursday, October 5th, against Blacksburg has been moved to Salem Stadium from Spartan Field. Kickoff will be 5 pm.

The Blacksburg game is also the “PTSA Tailgate Game” in which Andrew Lewis students will be given the opportunity to stay after school, be fed, and shuttled to the game.
